Centuries ago, the people of Svilland migrated from north to south, to the present day Svilland. When they first settled here, they encountered a trail of war and a great civilization that this war left behind. The fear of the great terror that caused them to escape from the north had been replaced by something else on the lands of Svilland: The fear of Vanir.
However, over the years, Svillanders understood that another power was protecting them apart from their own gods, it was Freyja, a Vanir goddess who protected them.
Realizing that Freyja, like a mother, was protecting the people living on this land and providing fertility to them, Svillanders tried to honor him, they built temples for her. Although Freyja is a Vanir, it has become a goddess that the people of Svilland are grateful for and do not give up believing.
The Adventure
As you read above, Freyja is a very important goddess for Svillanders and they believe Freyja loves them and protects them. Many believe that Freyja is who keeps Svilland together. Without her, Svillanders think the flowers wouldn’t bloom and crops wouldn’t yield, the land would become vulnerable to the draugr of Hel and the Black Winter of Odd.
Thus, running to her aid is the debts of all Svillanders to their protective goddess.
Freyja’s Tears, tells the story of the protector goddess Freyja’s struggle with Helheim’s cold goddess Hel. The characters will take part in a journey to end agents of Hel and save Freyja’s Svilland.

The Cover Image of the Book
Hel tried to influence Svilland for centuries and increase her strength in these lands. To do so, Hel has tried many things throughout history. In this adventure, Hel has a new, deadly plan that Svillanders have never seen before. She has an ally who has “lived” in Svilland before, and will use her power to control these lands.
Our adventurers will start the adventure in a near town to Freyja’s Tear which is a glorious lake for the Svillanders, at least it was… The adventurers will be challenged by Hel’s influence and the influence will be of death and dread. Their journey will be dark and brutal. They will question their faith and what they are going through on their side of the war. The adventurers will find themselves in a very important position, their choices will determine the future of Svilland.
What are the Differences?
Freyja’s Tears will have differences that separate it from other, regular adventures for 5E out there. As a team, we always try to create new things for the system, having unique touches for the Dungeons and Dragons. In Svilland you can see several examples of it; sacrificial points in Sacrifice Domain, Aegir’s gold for Ran Domain and more…
In this book, you’ll see new rules like Warband rules for your party members and new boss designs for dungeons, dynamic encounter design.
In the adventures we played in D&D 5th Edition, we realized that the pace of an adventure does not let the party get to know each other and create a synergy for roleplaying. We want to tackle this the D&D style: Warband rules will provide a relations chart, party traits, and friendship boons that can add more flavor and roleplay to adventures while having practical effects on encounters (without breaking the game balance).
We have also observed that encounters are often static and only revolves around the challenge ratings and character levels. We will be adding dynamism to important battles in our adventure, in which exploiting some side quests or using the terrain to advantage will create advantages for the party against the villains. This will let players have more tactical thinking and planning for their encounters.
The book will be more than 120 pages and you’ll find lots of cool things for the Kickstarter!
